The SCS-S is a dual, unbuffered, sequential switch that can switch 2, 3, or 4 inputs to a common output. It will accept an external clock input for each switch, as well as a reset input to reset the switch to input 1 for more complex patterns. The second (B) switch inputs are normalled to the first (A) switch inputs, so both switches can be operated from the same sources. Receives and passes through signals on the sync bus. Normalled inputs allow the user to create complex cascading patterns, such as using 2:1 on the first switch and 3:1 on the second, which can develop polyrhythms.
As an unbuffered switch, the unit is bidirectional, meaning you can switch inputs 1-4 to a common output, or use the output as an input and split it into up to 4 switched signal paths. With a very fast switching time, you can also use this sequential switch for advanced sound creation, such as wavesplicing multiple oscillators together.Â
