The SCS-X is a dual multiplier/divider module in 3U/6HP. Each section can multiply and divide a clock source up to 64x. Clock sources include internal clock, Rain Sync bus clock, external clock, or the output of the other section. When set to “Musical” mode, the output can range in musical divisions from 32nd notes up to 2 bars in length.

Advanced patterns can be created by setting a frame length from 1-32 steps, and number of active pulses per frame. You can manipulate the active pulses through various parameters, including the amount the pulses spread across the frame, and the rotation of the pattern relative to the start of the frame. When spread is set to maximum, the SCS-X acts as a euclidean sequencer. Set the patterns in motion with a randomness function that varies from frame to frame.
